Collated here are the contributions (other than editorials) from those for whom we have reasonably clear identification. Early contributions especially, were more or less anonymous; commonly not using surnames. For that reason the author-list below is in first name order. (Where possible a club - sometimes a town - may be used as a surname substitute.)
Gerald Wakely (the magazine's third editor) had definite thoughts on the place of naturism in the community, and on how that place could be best achieved (#2, #3a & #3b, #19, #20, #21, #22, #30: Retrospect & Point of View). Had Gerald 'stayed with it' he would have featured on our 'leaders' page, but unfortunately it seems he was so welded to his personal ideals that his initial disappointment with those in the movement of more modest aims, became eventually, a disillusionment he could no longer cope with. His potential was certainly recognised (Pen Portrait in #17) though: he became president of AOHC in 1954 and had significant influence on the establishment of the NZ Sunbathing Association (#7). The Rev. Ray Fussell was an Anglican Minister who wrote a number of articles for the magazine (#12, #15, #18, #33, #34, #38, #42, #48). Then Tom Harwood offers a series on Christianity in #160, #161 and #162. 'Heatnick' seems a suitable nom-de-plume for a contributing policeman (#34, #37, #42). Eric Flint explains the history of Kaurimu in #35, philosophises on naturism in #50, mourns Kaurimu in #52 and sumarises his views in a letter: #86, (Eric was the subject of Pen Portraits in issues #9 and #15.) 'Tom' made several thoughtful contributions (#37, #41), including his series: My Life (#43, #44, #45). Waikato University Professors of Psychology (and Maori), James and Jane Ritchie, made interesting observations: Haere Tatou Tahanga #49. (Then Norman (Fullerton?) of AOHC, has some philosophical comment on Prof Ritchie's radio interview in #55.) James Ritchie delves into observations from his profession in #111. Ted Dye has been an occasional but enthusiastic contributor from the central NI: (#55, #57). Hugh Young offers interesting angles on various topics (eg: Country Clubs or Movement? #87)
