Pohutukawa Bay

At the northern end of the popular Long Bay reserve is a marked cliff walk, which goes past this spot. There used to be a sign here, recognising it as a clothes-optional area. .

At low tide you can walk around the north headland from Long Bay, past the next bay (granny's Bay) and then around another headland to Pohutukawa Bay.
at higher tide ranges, the track to Pohutukawa Bay starts inland of the Vaughn Homestead.
The track takes approx 30 minutes depending on your fitnes level.



 

Pohutukawa Bay is regularly used daily during summer with a range of ages of people, during the week it becomes more populated by retirees, with families and younger people in the weekend.
