This national day is usually celebrated on the last Saturday of January, at your local beach.
- Skinny-dip on a Moonbeam — Twice a year, in summer, when the moon is full
Go down to your beach as the moon rises. No togs, no sunscreen; but lots of fun!- World Naked Bike Ride NZ — March
International event - Promoting the reduction in fossil fuel use, whilst promoting Cycle safety and Body Positivity.
- Takaka - 1st Saturday in March.
- Waihi Beach - 3rd Saturday in March.
- Waitati - Mid March.
- Polar Plunge — The coldest month of winter
Free Beaches challenge everyone to get out for a mid-winter splash in late June!- Annual General Meeting — August or September
