Polar Plunge
Why do it?Some good reasons:
- Solstice (literally: "sun stands still"). As sun-lovers we celebrate the turning-point from which the days begin to lengthen towards summer.
- We have this "marketing" opportunity to let the wider public know that nudity (at appropriate times and places) is not illegal.
- We aim to do this by getting a mention in the media. For example our email "that skinny-dippers throughout the land are plunging into the sea at mid-day to assert their right to do so!" together with details of FBNZ has been read out on National Radio by Kim Hill on her popular Saturday morning programme. There have also been mentions and photos in the press.
- Now we need new photos. So please contact friends and get to the beach for a quick run on the wild side. Be sure to take your camera to catch the moment. The best photos could appear on the website! (With your permission, of course.)
