Dear Members,

Don't forget "NGATUHOA LODGE", Adele should have your booking and money right away! Any inquiries phone Tom or Adele. (Phone numbers at end of newsletter)

HERE IS YOUR CLUB DIARY FOR THE YEAR 1987.

With summer now upon us we have organised some Teddy Bear's Beach Days! so we can meet each other on the beach this summer. Members of your committee will be calling at these beaches with the club flag, (which has Freddy Bear in black on a yellow background) and they hope to meet as many members as possible! It could also be a good time for members to visit beaches they haven't been to before.
Dates and Locations are in the Diary along with the details and contact phone numbers. Details on how to get to the beaches, are in your Beach List. These outings will not be cancelled unless the weather is really bad. Where possible we have selected tides suitable for swimming, however in the cases of EMIELS and ST. LEONARDS beaches, we have had to select tide times to allow as many on the beach as possible. (BOTH BEACHES VANISH AT HIGH TIDE!) Please bring your own food and drink!

NEW BEACH

40A: The Bluepools: Turn sharp left at the bottom of the Piha hill into Beach Valley Road, drive to the end. (Marine Parade Sth) Walk south around rocks (low to mid tide) to sheltered white sandy cove. Tidal pool for swimming (deep but safe for children)! Track over next hill to a fishing spot. Explore also the track into the valley. Access at high tide by Tasman Lookout Track, at end of road, 15 minutes to beach.
Please let us know if you think this beach is suitable for inclusion in our Beach List. (Phone Adrianne on - 883-7841)

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

We have placed a number of ads in the N.Z. Herald, Star and local Auckland papers and have had several dozen replies. We will give a full report next newsletter.

TAKAPUNA - LEGAL NUDE BEACHES!

This has taken us by surprise! We ask for them, and we no get! We don't ask and we may? get one at Takapuna! Makes little sense. Seriously though, we still advise members use St. Leonards Beach, but stay clear of CLIFTON ROAD BEACH - as most complaints regarding nudes come from Clifton Road Residents!

DONATION

As per the wishes of members at the AGM, we have made a Donation of $200.00 to the Long Bay Recreational Centre.

Best Wishes For This Summer.
