The AGM was held on 24 August, 1985, with about 30 members in attendance.

FROM PRES TOM
Following the AGM we headed north to Waiwera Hot Pools for an enjoyable few hours of feasting an'a frolicki'n. A great night was had by all.
The members voted unanimously to a motion that Lois Kennedy, one of our staunchest members be given for her time and effort that she has given to the group an Honorary Life Membership.
Lois has since Graciously accepted the Honour.
With regret Jim Lacy and Charles Saggers have recently been in hospital. We all hope that you are both on the road to recovery. You were both missed at the AGM and at Waiwera.
At the first committee meeting Pres Tom allocated the Committee to the following positions.

SWIMERAMA PANMURE
Next Swimerama night to be held on October 19, this will be the LAST
SWIMERAMA for 1985. It will be held from 6.30-8.30 and remember that
this night will be FREE.
NGATUHOA
The next trip to the Ngatuhoa Lodge will be on the Auckland Anniversary Weekend at the end of January 1985. More on this in later newsletters, and again at Easter Weekend, again more in later newsletters.
THAMES TRIP
John Riggir (Ph. 565-219) is looking for a group of about 8-10 fellow members to go down to Thames and check out a private camping ground that is owned by one of our members.
The grounds are not far from Thames and as yet have no facilities. Anyone who is interested get in touch with John Riggir 565-219.
RICARDO'S PARAKAI
Still held on the last Friday of each month the next will be held on OCT 25 and Nov 29.
Remember that there is a Takeaway Bar and Restaurant NEXT DOOR.
This is a fun night and very worthy of our efforts don't forget we can arrange car pooling, so come out for a fun night in the pools (there are three pools at different temps and one large for games etc. Hosted by NSSC for further information call Roger.

(mid-Dec.) but without members' participation we can't do it.

While we are asking for member participation, how about writing a bit for the newsletter, no matter how small; it all helps to keep the Group going.
