Dear Friends,

Forty-two of us had a wonderful weekend at Ngatuhoa, with many members corning long distances. Next year, could those who have tents and cookers please bring them, there is plenty of room, and it’s a great holiday.

NOUMEA TRIP: There are still vacancies for the trip to M’Ba that leaves on 31 May. Please ring Julie for details.

AGM AND WAIWERA TRIP: This will be on Saturday, 13 August. Keep this day free! Full details in your next newsletter.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: Julie has a number of outings planned for us over the next few months. As most of these will be at short notice, those interested please keep in touch with her.

SAUNAS: Clive Green Health Centre, l4 Federal Street, every Sunday 5 - 9 p.m. $3 single, $5 double, children under 15, free.

We have been invited to go to the Body Workshop, lO Manukau Road (near Newmarket) on Sundays 5 - 9 p.m. at $14 each.

SWIMARAMA: Our own winter swim nights, at the heated Panmure Pool and sauna, Lagoon Drive. Held on the third Saturday of the month, 21 May, 18 June, 16 July, 6.30 - 8.30 p.m. We will be playing water volley ball with teams from the Sun Clubs, so come along to either play or cheer, and bring your friends to he1p! Adults $2, children 50 cents.

RICARD’S POOL, PARAKAI: Fridays 29 April, 27 May, 24 June, 6.30 - 10 p.m. Adults $2.30, children 80 cents. Hosts: North Shore Sun Club. The after-swim dinners we are holding in the Restaurant are very popular, so please book with Julie if you intend joining in, a good meal at a very reasonable price.

EASTER CAMP: This will be held at Uretiti, at the camping area in the pine trees, four miles north of Waipu. Turn right at the truck weighing platform into an unmarked side road. Supply own water and toilet, supplies at Waipu or Ruakaka. This camping area is now known as the "Uretiti Beach Recreation Area" and is controlled by the Lands and Survey Dept. Since Christmas one of our own members, Alon Powell, Box 75, Waipu, has been acting as caretaker for the area, and he is looking forward to seeing us there over Easter.

MID-WINTER SWIM: Always a few hardy bods from FBG in this event. Details from 1ZB. Come and have a go!

CHEQUES: The Committee are concerned that some of your cheques seem to have gone astray between us and the bank. If you paid your sub by cheque, could you please find out if it has been cleared through your account, and if not, cancel it and send us another.

COMMITTEE: Tony 679-726, Margaret 659-509, Paddy 559-626, Julie 469-328 between 10 - 11.30 a.m. or 8 - 8.30 p.m.

Lots of activities to keep away the winter gloom. Be seeing you!

Adrianne
