Hello Friends,
Greetings to you all for 1980. By now I hope you are all sporting magnificent tans and that some of you have managed to get away to a quiet spot for a few days break. Firstly I must take this opportunity to thank Lois Kennedy who very kindly wrote our last newsletter while John and I were busy shifting house.
And secondly thank you for all the suggestions on places to go and things to see, Ted is finding this information most helpful.

FREE BEACHES COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK Our assistant Secretary, Tony Wilson, burns a lot of midnight oil Processing, Cataloguing and Corresponding with our newly enrolled members and he and I are just a little disappointed at the lack of response shown by some of you not attending at least some of the outings. Use your phone if you wish to make up a car load to cut cost — be brave — lash out and you will be pleasantly surprised we know...

MISSING Some time ago our resident artist painted two signs in Rescue Orange with black lettering which read,

  BEWARE WE BARE
  IF NUDITY OFFENDS
  PROCEED NO FURTHER

These were printed to warn the unconverted. Somewhere along the line they have gone missing so if any one knows of their whereabouts please phone me 602740 Auckland.

A PLEA FROM THE "NATURIST" --

THE EDITOR AND STAFF URGENTLY REQUIRE PHOTOGRAPHS AND
ARTICLES OF GENERAL NUDIST INTEREST FOR PUBLICATION IN
THIS FIRST-CLASS MAGAZINE.

Photographs

Black-and-white printed on glossy paper but not glazed, with a good range of tones, from a deep rich black through to a fine bright highlight. Minimum print size 7 x 5 ins. Negatives are also acceptable.

Colour Slides 2¼inch square are the best, but 35 mm will be accepted; must be sharp; with 35 mm the subject must fill the frame. These must be colour positives, not negatives nor prints. To enhance the colour it is suggested you under expose, somewhere between half and one full stop.

A model release certificate should be signed by everyone who is clearly recognisable in the photograph. Sample below.

Photographs and slides submitted to the Naturist will be returned, and work used will be acknowledged in the magazine.

As every second member of our Group professes interest in photography, it should be possible to show a good response to the Naturist's request. Of course this means that potential models must co-operate - and I don't mean all girls, either!
