Andrew at Papamoa

April 2010 - Bay of Plenty

First I went the back way (Matata) to Lake Rotoma. I arrived there in the nude and went for a swim just for a short time as the water is turning cold. There were more people than I expected but that did not put me off, as I lay there on the shore in the nude taking in the Autumn rays. People passed by in front of me in their vehicles, and walking their dogs; but no one seemed to mind or give a toss.

The third bay

About two o'clock I headed for Whakatane and went over the hill to Otarawairere Road.

Then I headed to Otarawairere Road in Whakatane where I was able to walk nude down the Kohi Point Walkway to the southern end of Otarawairere Beach’s third bay. I plonked myself there for the last of the sun rays. I had the whole beach to myself: such a private little beach, and tranquil too.

Ohiwa (Bryans) Beach

Then it was off to Ohiwa Beach where I spent the whole time in the nude.

Ani's place is above

The road passes just in front of the house, so everyone saw me in the nude as they drove past, but again no one gave a toss. At about lunchtime I walked across the road and along the beach access-way, to spend the rest of the afternoon on the beach, which I had all to myself for most of the time. If you turn right on the beach and head a few metres away from the houses, you are all good to go.

At the end of the afternoon I walked back up the road to the house in the nude. Why I bothered to bring any clothes I do not know, but being the off-season made it easy.

Then it was back to Tauranga, stink.
