Not yet appointed.

It was decided to appoint a team of 5 Club Members as N.Z.N.F. Free Beach representatives who are Emiel Roland (Auckland) Jennifer Fairbrother (Gisborne) Pat Trott (South Island) and still to be nominated a representative from Wellington S.C. and Taranaki Naturists Club.
The remit which we were interested in (voting for Associate Members) was worded incorrectly on a technical point and will be rewritten and resubmitted at the half Annual General Meeting.
The Venue for the 1979 Rally was not decided upon.
We would like to thank Emiel our Representative at the A.G.M. for doing such a good job.
The Rally itself was a huge success the time being divided between sunbathing, sports activities and entertainment.
NEWS FROM OUR COMMITTEE.
LOCAL ORGANISERS. - A change and new names for you to note. With the resignation of Bill and Jane, Sarndra takes over the duties for the Tauranga Bay of Plenty Area, Phone No. Tauranga 54457.
We are pleased to report that Brian and Sandra have offered to be the Christchurch Area Organisers for contact. Phone HSL 7211.
Tony and Glenis of the Hawkes Bay, Hastings Area have volunteered to act as local Organisers, but only in a limited capacity due to Tony's already busy life. Contact. Phone Hastings 69808.
We are very grateful for the help of these new Organisers.
The Committee made the comment that when you get permission to visit a club, that you carry your membership card and identify yourself to one of their Committee Members, so that there can be no problems at a later date. This is of course a club rule anyway.
Amongst other matters discussed was a new design for our sticker.
REPORTS FROM THE DIARY.
We seem to have been very lucky with the weather, because not one weekend has really been rained off, and we have had good support on all our diary events. All of us who camped at Brian's place certainly enjoyed themselves (even though Hazel managed to burn all the food!!!) We would all like to thank Brian for kindly allowing us and welcoming us to use his land.
Although it wasn't on the Diary the first night of the sauna attracted about 80 adults and dozens of children who all had a right good time. The steam room and bubble pool are now tiled making it even more pleasant, in addition to the usual facilities as listed on the Diary.

MAYOR ISLAND TRIP. - Unfortunately I was unable to make the Mayor Island Trip especially after looking forward to it for several weeks, I cannot do any better than reprint almost in full the following letter.

Dear Ray,
After four wonderful weeks on holiday at Mt. Maunganui we would like to mention some of our experiences of this, which we think is the best free beach in New Zealand. This was our third year there, and never before have we seen so many 'white bikinis' on a weekday in holiday time, It was quite normal to see 200-250 people there, and of course many more at weekends.
Our trip to Mayor Island was a real success for the Local Organisers, with a special thanks to Sarndra Elliott who we think did the bulk of the work. We had some local divers on board, and managed to do some skinny-dipping on the Island and coming home. We collected some beautiful rocks too, Sarndra has also been busy recruiting new members.
The weather was fantastic, but one day the surf was unkind to three local members who had to be rescued. Next day some local members asked the lifesavers for a lifeline, which was soon installed and our members trained in its use. This we think was great work by the Mt. Maunganui skinny dippers - Thanks: We would like to thank you too for your hospitality.
We feel all of us should be aware of the danger at a surf beach, and perhaps be thinking of training members for sea rescue.
It was a great holiday with pleasant people at Mt. Maunganui, we hope to be back next year.

Yours sincerely,
    Riet & Ernie Rasing.

MAHIA WEEKEND. - The Mahia long weekend, even though the weather was disappointing was very successful because it enabled us, that is the Clubs and the Free Beach Group to show the general public who shared the camp site and beach with us that a 'clothing optional' area will work. Towards the end of the only sunny afternoon a great number of the public were obviously having their first taste of skinny dipping and thoroughly enjoying themselves. There were many white bikinis around.
We were pleased to welcome Ron and Hannah Rencher and Ian and Jennifer Fairbrother to the meeting. I was disappointed that we hadn't got more Free Beach Group members to introduce to them. I would like to thank John Lowe our Wellington Organiser for organising the weekend and our thanks to all the club members and our own members who supported it.

NOTES TO NOTE - The North Shore Nudist Club has again kindly invited us to join them in their evenings at Riccardos Hot Pools.

Clive Green tells is that his improved facilities are again available to all Nudists on a Sunday evening.

With these winter activities restarting don't give up supporting our beach outings. There is still a lot of good weather to come (I hope).

There is now a small charge of $2.00 per unit per night. Bore water is available, but a toilet tent is necessary. The mobile shop visits daily.

ST. LEONARDS BEACH. I see from the newspapers that this beach has achieved a certain notoriety and would advise our members to be particularly careful as it is often the innocent and genuine sunbathers that suffer.
NATIONAL NUDIST RESORT. HOT SPRINGS PURCHASING TRUST.
Whilst we are still in a serious mood I would just like to tell you (mainly for the benefit of our new members) that shares are still available in the Trust and are highly recommended. These are $100 each or $2.00 per week for 56 weeks. There address is Hot Springs Purchasing Trust, Box 10270, Te-Rapa, or if you wish you may write to me for information.

Please don't forget to notify me of any change of address or telephone number.
We give Jenny Torvald of Tauranga our best wishes as she leaves for parts unknown.
There are at least two of our lady members who will be presenting us with brand new members very shortly and we send them our best wishes.
Over the page is an item of particular interest to our photographers and anybody and I mean anybody, who is willing to be photographed nude. We don't only want the glamour girls, we want a variety. Thank you for the item Robin.

AMENDMENT. - In our hurry to get the beach list out with the last issue we went a little adrift with the premier beach in the country, nudist that is, so a little home work for you. Cut out and paste over the wrong directions this piece below the dotted line.

BAY OF PLENTY

PORT OHOPE Whakatane. Best reached from England's Motor Camp.
PAPAMOA BEACH - Travelling from Tauranga, turn left towards Mt. Maunganui after crossing railway lines. After a short distance turn right into Girven road (opp Mt. Hire) past DB Hotel, turn right into Papamoa Beach Road and continue for 1½ km until opposite iron pipe gate. Park your vehicle on either side of road and walk over the sand dunes track to the beach.
Alternatively if you are staying at the Papamoa Domain Holiday Camp or coming in from that direction "our" part of the beach is 3¼ km past the camp entrance along the beach road (by the speed de-restriction sign).

Double Exposure...........

WHEREAS the Naturist is always looking for good nudist photographs but is sometimes forced to use foreign material because of the lack of New Zealand work.

AND ALSO many of our members are keen snappers but are reluctant to use their cameras on FBG outings because of the objections to indiscriminate photography.

IT IS AGREED that there will shortly be an outing to a local beach with the express purpose of obtaining lots of good black-and-white and colour pictures.

WITH THE PROVISO that all attending are entirely willing to be photographed and for the results to be published in the nudist press.

NOW BE IT KNOWN that a list of such members and friends, also of keen photographers, is being prepared so that when the occasion seems right they may be contacted at a day or two's notice to arrange an outing.

THIS AGREEMENT to be made by telephoning Ray or Robin at the numbers given, or by writing a short note.

GIVEN UNDER MY PAW ON SATURDAY 18th February 1979.
