Awhitu ARC Reserve

The distance from Waiuku is about 31 km.

Where:-

From Waiuku, drive 29 km north through Matakawau, turning right at the Brook Road sign. From the car park, walk along the first beach and over the cliff to the second beach.

What's there:-

White sand, nice when the tide is in. Camping ground.

Oct 08, JW - Very pretty and peaceful; we had the campground and one beach to ourselves in the school holidays. Watch out for sharp oyster shells!
