Where:-

From Takaka, drive 5 km northeast toward Collingwood, turn right into Rangihaeata Road then left into Fraser Road and go to the end: 3 km; or take Fenwick Road to your right, where you come to the remains of a buried forest on the beach.

What's there:-

Wild dunes, could be windy. Walk north, along the spit. (There's a good view of the Seaview Holiday Baches across the estuary.)
