Herne Bay

The distance from Auckland City is about 4 km.

Where:-

From Downtown Auckland, drive 2 km west along Jervois Road to Herne Bay Road and park at the bottom. Walk 50 m down a path to the beach. Either try the thin grass verge in the middle or go another 50 m to a small, shaded hollow in the bank.

What's there:-

The area is still being used cautiously by locals.

Comments:-

Jan 09, JL - There again for a pleasant hour or so - solo this time but, again; another naked man there, as well as a couple of dog owners.

Feb 05, JL - Spent a very pleasant couple of hours there with Buffy, in the early afternoon. Another man there was also naked. Several dog owners as well, but they seemed used to it.
