Where:-

From State Highway 1, 26 km north of Warkworth and 2 km north of Te Hana (or at Kaiwaka, 56 km south of Whangarei) turn east and follow signs to Tomorata or Te Arai Point Rd then turn left into Ocean Beach Rd. Or from the Welsford - Mangawhai Rd turn into School Rd and follow the "Lake Tomarata" signs 5km, eventually into Atkinson Rd. Drive down into the parking area beside the lake.

What's there:-

Boat ramp and enclosed swimming area for children. Walk around the left hand shore to near the far end. Toilet and water. No camping, fires or dogs.
