We are considering placing a suggestion box at Clive Greens. Anything you want to pass on to the newsletter or to the committee can be thrown in.

We have heard that the Wellington Sun Club have a sauna night in Karori every Sunday night. Would someone please check it out for us and see if we could join in? We would like to add as many of your local events as possible to our newsletter. Perhaps you could go along to the Club on the next open day and find out.

Sun Clubs National Open Day 25th November. Arrange for a visit to your nearest club. Contact numbers and addresses are printed in the N.Z. Naturist magazine.

Summer of 83/84 saw the usual crowd of members back again to enjoy the Bland Bay, Wangaruru area. Chris John and kids, Annie Marty and family and so on. Nice to see some new faces as well, Colin and Hazel whose two day stay turned into over a week and fell in love with the place. I'm happy to report that the updated Maori Marae with new toilet and shower blocks, store etc. has proved a boon, as remember this focal point is only a base. The beaches and bays are only a few minutes walk away where free beaching can be enjoyed with little or no hindrance.
Waione Bay is by far the most popular and is now generally known by locals and textile campers as the Nudist Beach and is accepted as such. With this in mind it has also attracted a fair amount of non-members as well. This summer saw a larger number of the younger set content on doing their own thing but still a friendly group.
Also the lack of westerly winds that prevailed here the previous two summers helped a great deal in enlightening those a little unsure of the benefit of clothes free sunning and swimming. All in all I can only sum it up by saying that those members who made it back again this summer thoroughly enjoyed themselves once more.

[     In th]e past year and at the A.G.M. there has often been
[some talk] on the best method of spreading the Free Beach Group [message a]nd attracting members. Pat & Tony have demonstrated
[a method ]which we can all join in on - i.e. talk to individuals
[         ] of Swimarama this year has been a result of doing
[lots of talk]round the sun clubs. Tear off the top of your newsletter
[to give some]one our address. We are only too pleased to supply
[information] and application forms.

[It has be]en a funny spring this year. Here's hoping for a
[good year] and do not take too much sun at any one time.
[Go on to t]he beach and demonstrate our objectives by example.

[It'll be a] great holiday season.

[          ] we extend a get well soon to Alf Gorringe and hope
[he will so]on be back on deck or should we say the beach.

          Regards.

John
