     A quick note to remind you of the A.G.M. to be held on

 

It is a little disappointing to note that no-one has offered any suggestions or comments on the future of the Group, and one wonders if, indeed, the receipt books are not purveying incorrect information on the membership strength.

     The Waiwera Social has not, to date, generated an overwhelming response; understandable, perhaps, but we have had certain assurances from the hosts. They require final numbers by 20 August so please - if you intend to be a starter, send your $12 per head, or at least ring me or Tony (450-037 or 679-726)

NEWS ABOUT SWIMERAMA:::

The third Saturday of September has, at the request of the
Mt Wellington Borough Council, been changed to the second Saturday --

Because of this compromise that evening’s activities will be FREE.

FOR CAMPING ENTHUSIASTS: Two properties will be available next summer for basic camping. One is in a bush-clad area near Taipa, and has swimming holes in a clear mountain stream with camping sites nearby - possibly also space for caravans.

The other property is on the east coast 46 miles north of Kaitaia; a 10 acre block that offers sunshine and summer warmth. Good swimming is available at the nearby Henderson Beach. Bore water should be available by January.
