Dear Friends,

How nice to be back again, back on the committee, back at my typewriter, and back for another season of sunshine, swimming and camping.

We have a fine group of people for our new 1982-1983 Committee. Let me introduce them:-

Copies of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting are available from the Secretary on request.

LABOUR WEEKEND: How about starting the season with a relaxing weekend at your nearest Hot Pool Complex? Some have private spa pools, but take your togs just in case.

Oakura Bay Motels and Campground, R.D.4, Hikurangi, on the highway to Russell. Their pools have been open for day visitors during the May and August holidays, adults $1, children 50 cents, so keep this in mind for next year! A lovely beach, heated pool, good facilities.

Aquatic Park, Parakai Post Office, Helensville, phone l6M (opposite Ricards Pools.) Camping sites $7 per night with power, $6 without power. Private hot pool across the road at Craigwell House.

NATURIST HOLIDAY IN NEW CALEDONIA: Yes, really! This means you! We are organising a fabulous ten-day holiday at a nudist beach resort in New Caledonia, probably about Easter next year, for only $660! Includes air fare, accommodation, and nearly all meals. Children $330. Interested??? For details ring Julie at 404-6439.

AUCKLAND OUTDOOR HEALTH CLUB: AOHC are looking for a resident caretaker/handyman. They require a couple, preferably semi-retired, and offer an unfurnished cottage rent free, and will nay the basic phone rental, water charges, and power charges. Duties would be:-

1) To maintain a lookout for breakdown and damage of equipment and amenities, and report to the Committee;

2) To collect camping fees, and direct people to their camping sites;

3) Mow some of the grass areas;

4) Keep the ablution blocks and clubhouse clean and tidy.

For further details please write to the Secretary,

P.O. Box 2702, Auckland.

CHANGES OF ADDRESS: Please continue to notify us immediately when you change your address. The number of returned newsletters is heartbreaking, and makes so much extra work for Committee members who do their jobs in their own spare time. You should receive your newsletters during the last week of the following months:- August, October, November, January, March and June.

MAIL: Letters to us are sometimes delayed for up to two months. We attribute this to bungling at the Post Office (we have to blame someone). So please send in your cheques and bookings AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid disappointment. We cannot find any remedy for this sad situation.

Once again, the Waiwera trip has been the highlight of the year, thoroughly enjoyed by all who went. Now that we have a Social Organiser, we can look forward to many more special trips and outings, so make sure you keep in touch! SEND IN YOUR SUB!

Adrianne
