Well, hello there again friends, 10th October, 1978.
It's that lovely time of the year again when the more active ones have already started going down to the beaches and even the less hardy are thinking about going (which means Lois!!!).

NEWS FROM THE LAST COMMITTEE MEETING. Ken Nice volunteered to prepare the diaries for us this year. It will be tough following Des, who made such a good job of them last year, but I am sure Ken will be equally successful.

The wording of the rule changes discussed at the Annual General Meeting for submitting to the N.Z.N.F. A.G.M. were discussed.
Future advertising was discussed. The decision to hold another Social as agreed upon.

N.Z.N.F. NEWS. As readers of the Naturist Magazine will know the N.Z.N.F. Rally this year is being held at the Canterbury Sun Club's grounds at Pineglades, Christchurch from the 29th December to 2nd January, 1979. From the itinerary which I have received it looks like it will be a boomer. Financial Members who wish to attend have to complete an application form, which I have, signed by me, for returning to Christchurch by Nov. 6th. We realise that they have left us very little time to get all this done, this is the reason why we are publishing this Newsletter earlier than usual, so anyone planning to go, please contact me immediately.
This years N.Z.N.F. Annual General Meeting will be held at Christchurch on 28th December(preceding the Rally).

NEWS FROM THE DIARY. The Sunday night Saunas still continue to attract large numbers and we would like to thank the A.O.H.C. and in particular Jim McGivern for their hospitality (Last night October, 22nd) at the Body workshop. Please note that the Clive Green Sauna will still continue to function for a few more weeks (see Diary).
The Members who went to the A.O.H.C. Social enjoyed themselves and also those who went on the South Auckland Clubs trip to Waiwera reported a very enjoyable evening.
The Swimerama on October 14th was the last one for this winter season and we would like to thank the A.O.H.C. (particularly Emiel) for inviting us to them. I know for certain that those who attended enjoyed themselves.

NEWS FROM ABROAD.
I am very pleased to report that the Hastings Borough
Council in the U.K. have declared "Fairlight Cove" a nudist beach. As
it is also a public beach it is in effect "a clothing optional area".
This information comes via the British Naturism Magazine.
It is also heartening to see the relaxation of restrictions on bathing costumes for certain beaches in Spain.
At the time of writing I have no recent news, only old news which is not good, regarding Blacks Beach, San Diego.

OTHER NEWS.
At long last the Access film has come and gone. I hope you all managed to see it and got your friends to view as well, because it certainly was well worth seeing. Bobbie Smith is to be highly congratulated for her efforts as Co—ordinator and Panellist. From remarks I have heard from Non—Nudist members of the public the programme was acceptable and interesting and must have done the nudist movement a lot of good. The whole team put the message over very well and I am sure everyone in the N.Z. Nudist Movement will be proud of them.
